Historic country inn and restaurant in Germany close to France and Basel in Switzerland, founded in the year 1754. Fresh and delicious food with many seasonal products from our own farm. Specialties are e.g. suckling pig from a wood-fired oven, barrel wine, crispy salads, farmers bread, mushrooms and asparagus. With garden restaurant and plenty of space for familiy celebrations.

Always a nice experience. Very attentive and loving staff. Here you can only feel comfortable. Very tasty food and a great atmosphere. I've been enjoying it for years and don't want to lose it anymore. A treat with a lot of anticipation.
Anyone who appreciates a good country inn is in the right place. Very delicate home-style cuisine, very friendly family business, guest rooms in a rustic parlor atmosphere with charm and romance. I am thrilled every time and always like to come back. Another highlight is the homemade noodle soup, which is served as an entree.

Friendly, nice, very tasty and reasonably priced.
We had been recommended this classic, rustic and clean black forest place. The meal was very very filling and good, the price correct. The bread was missing, no possibility of having a wine list, on the other hand the dessert menu was available for consultation. Go figure! All in all nothing extraordinarily starred but good and great value for money (you can't find that in France anymore !!) A bit like at home, well cooked with typical combinations of Black Forest, whipped cream, cherry and blackberry jam accompanying veal in sauce. Delicious. Vegetables (soft carrots and peas + spinach in sauce) for a colorful touch. The spätzele were very soft and there were plenty of them! On the other hand the "dogbag" (normal in Germany) no longer contained any vegetables just meat and spätzele, too bad! For the wine list, the dog bag and the slightly cold atmosphere I give 3 but for the dishes I would put 4! Simple and good.
Very good Baden cuisine, as well as super friendly staff. The suckling pig is juicy and has a crispy crust - just how you like it! A visit is recommended!

For starters, two mixed salads made from green leaf lettuce, chabis - as we lovingly call white cabbage in Switzerland - grated carrots and cucumber; on a balanced, bright dressing with a wonderful note of olive oil. For the main course: veal medallions in a creamy mushroom sauce, served with duchess potatoes. Also entrecote, seared with a salt crust, masterfully taken from the heat and served with a cylinder of herb butter, garnished with chopped chives. With a plate of homemade spaetzle. For the thirst: Tasty and successful Guteel from our own production for aperitifs and salads, tasty Pinot Noir also from our own production for the main course.
Delicious food, nice, friendly, fast and competent. Eat. (Suckling pig) SAU was good. We recommend it and will gladly come back.
Food is always amazing here. Portions are more than enough (always extra to take home). Service is fast and staff very friendly!
Food is excellent and lots of it. The service is great. I normally come once a year for the suckling pig event that friends organise. This was my first time ordering from the menu, absolutely loved it! A firm favourite and worth the drive over the border from Switzerland.

Amazing, delicious and massive meals. Really suggest the cheese filled schnitzel with fries. The place is lovely and the staff nice and welcoming.
